Diy Coffee Wood Pallet Sign

Welcome to our Church Sign

I have been working on a DIY Pallet Project over the last 24 hours & it is turning out better than I expected.

Our Church is updating its decor to be more country-like. I looked into a few projects & came across a wood Pallet sign that I loved.

& I thought, “God, where can I get some pallets for this project?!?” A few days later on my way to work, there were a pile of pallets out by the curb.  Hallelujah.

I picked through the pile & loaded the pallets in the back of my truck. Now, I had some dirty work for my fiancΓ©.

I tried to take the nails out but I wasn’t strong enough. He helped me out πŸ™‚

Yay!!! Pallet Boards!!

& so I began to hammer out the nails. πŸ”¨

& I sanded the boards. (I’m sweating aggressively- Sorry) Okay, this isn’t working… Dad!!!!!!

Thanks Dad πŸ™.

Oh yea, this is much easier & less sweaty. I buffed out the knots & little splinters.

I lined up the boards & glued them together. Careful, this stuff is powerful. I let it dry overnight πŸŒ™

Viola! It’s so pretty. But it’s much to plain. We need some color. & seeing how I love coffee so much…

Mix 1/2 cup of boiling water with 2 tbsp instant coffee.  Let sit for about 10 minutes. Then apply to dry clean boards.

This is free-hand but it turned out really well.

Coffee Saver β˜•οΈ πŸ’°Β

I love my Keurig. But I do not love the cost of K-cups. Ekkk. Money down the drain.
Normally, before my Keurig, I would brew a 10 cup pot of coffee. Some days I would drink through it & others I would be distracted and leave the pot to stale. (RIP πŸ’€ wasted coffe) A moment of silence please….

Upon dumping coffee litterally down the drain, I knew there had to be another way. A Keurig was a great investment because it limits how much coffe you make. Make a cup when you want it, if you want 7 more cups, then go for it!

However, this was still an arm and a leg. I saw department stores selling a box of 10 K-cups for $8.99. That’s crazy to me. Now you are paying a convenience store price for your coffee every morning. (For yourself to make it.) I thought, now that is just silly.

I can purchase a large 32oz of Coffee on sale for $5.99 & even cheaper with coupons πŸ˜‰ Its not necessary to pay so much money πŸ’°. & then I had the discovery of reusable K-cups. They are amazing! β˜•οΈ

(Of Course, I already tore through the packaging, I needed coffee!)

Here are reusable K-cups. I purchased them through Amazon. They were 6 cups for $5.99. They are easy to use. You can scoop whatever coffee you choose into the K-cup, Brew & Enjoy. They are easy to clean.

To extend your buck & coffee even farther, check out my blog on getting flavored coffee for 1/2 the price.  β˜•οΈ

Happy National Coffee Day! β˜•οΈβ˜•οΈβ˜•οΈ

My day has been filled with everything Coffee! (& I’m lovin’ every minute of it 😘)

For starters, I had Coffee Yogurt for Breakfast. I added a little granola with almonds & it was delicious.

& I wore my perfect shirt from my mother in law. Thanks 2nd Mom πŸ‘©

&& my co-worker brought me a 66 cent pumpkin spice coffee from Dunkin.

& I tried the new flavor of M&M’s Coffee Nut. It might be my new Fav.

As a coffee fanatic, I would Rate Today – Definitely a strong 9 of Awesomeness! & I hope my coffee lover friends enjoyed their day today. β˜•οΈβ˜•οΈβ˜•οΈ

Enjoy Flavored Coffee for 1/2 of the Price!Β

I learned a little coffee trick I wish I knew years ago. & I am more than happy to share with you β˜•οΈ

In the coffee aisle you will see delicious flavored coffees such as: German Chocolate Cake or Creme brΓ»lΓ©e, BUT the price tag that follows is OUTRAGEOUS.

The amount of coffee I go through, I cringe at paying more than $15 for the larger size. So, with this little trick you will be able to enjoy the pricey flavored coffee at a more reasonable cost.

The Trick….

MIX THEM! β˜•οΈβ˜•οΈβ˜•οΈπŸ˜„

Purchase your Average Joe coffee (Plain Coffee) & Mix the grounds with a bag of the Flavored coffee. You will now have Flavored Coffee at 1/2 of the Cost.

&&& I find the coffee to be so flavorful that I purchase plain Jane creamer to put it in. So you are essentially saving money by not purchasing the flavored creamer as a substitute.

&&& to go one more cheaper & have the same results: I purchase powder creamer. Saving even more money. Cha-Ching πŸ’΅

DIY Coffee Coconut Body Scrub

FYI, if you didn’t know, I love love love Coffee! β˜•οΈ So, when given the chance to bath in it, Oh Heck Yeah I am going to try it. πŸ™‚ I gotta tell ya, it is an easy DIY Body Scrub that will eliminate dead skin within minutes & it’s just 3 simple ingredients that you may have sitting around your kitchen right now.

Just mix equal parts of-

  • 1Tbsp Coffee Grounds
  • 1Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • Tbsp Brown Sugar

In the morning, turn on your coffee maker and enjoy your fresh hot cup of joe. Then empty the used coffee grounds into a mixing bowl. Your getting two bonuses in one. πŸ˜‰ Add Brown Sugar. Add Coconut Oil. <I prefer at room temperature to keep body wash like consistency. Mix together until well blended. Viola, you’re done.

There is also a list of benefits bathing in this concoction β˜•οΈβ˜•οΈβ˜•οΈ

BENEFITS:

  • Exfoliation: It removes residual dirt & dead skin.
  • Blood Flow: Increase blood flow & reduce the appearance of cellulite.
  • Aromatherapy: The scent of coffee is calming & anti-depressant.
  • Skin Texture: Constricts blood vessels in the skin to make them tight & firm.
  • Antioxidants: Caffeine, a natural antioxidant, fights premature aging & heart disease πŸ’•
  • Anti-Inflammatory: The acid in coffee affects anti-inflammatory activity & skin wound healing.

Now it’s SHOWER TIME!

When showering, lather your head with shampoo and let it set for a few minutes. While doing so, now you can shave your legs. Rinse your hair & repeat with conditioner. While that’s setting, dip into your body scrub. I use about 1 tbsp per leg. Scrub in circle motions, from your ankles up to your thighs. I focus mostly on my upper thighs and butt for cellulite reduction.  I scrub for about 3-5 minutes to help blood flow. You can litterally feel your dead skin come off. (It’s winter time right now and my skin is so dry and dead, Ewww…) And now rinse. You will feel the coconut oil- like an oil residue.  Don’t stress, we are not done yet. >>>Shave your legs again<<< You will physically see a collection of dirt on your razor. πŸ™‚ Once rinsed and done, pat dry and apply your favorite lotion.

Within the first week of this Coffee Scrub my legs look tighter and definitely feel smoother. Give it a try and let me know how yours turned out.
